The teacher is tell us what he thinks school is like and what its meant to be for. He thinks that the main point of school is to learn how to overcome difficult things by actually doing your work and not thinking that it doesn't matter or there is no point in doing it. He is saying that there will be much harder things than just school. "the main event" is not just all about academics, its about learning how to overcome difficult things and being able to do your work in class and not wanting to just sit there on your phone the whole class because it doesn't matter or its not important.

3 day weekend... how was it? Give me a good story or something funny that happened this weekend. Go.

This weekend I didn't do much besides play basketball on Saturday with some of my friends and then on Sunday i went to Oak Park Mall to get new shoes. On Monday I had baseball games later in the day and we won both of them.

If images are on the internet they should be "free game".

Yes I do agree with this because once you put something on the internet anyone can see it and use it if they want to. like if I found a picture of a jayhawk someone drew and then put it on the internet i think i should be able to use that if i want to.

Reflect on your resume website

If I were to redo this I would have used my time more effectively and not make it come down to the last day for me to finish it. I also would have been able to add more information if I had used my time more wisely than I did. If I were to go back and add more stuff I would put more pictures in there to really describe myself more than I did. I wish I would have known some more ways to style my website to make it look clean and better. I feel like my resume website was probably average for all of the resume websites in our class. I don't feel like I had one of the better ones but I don't fell like mine was the worst. Some people were able to create some really cool websites that actually looked like real resumes and they added different things that I didn't even think about, like adding a information box to fill out and different gifs they added.

What's the coolest thing you've learned in Web Design so far? Why is it so cool and how can it help you in the future?

The coolest thing I have learned in web design is probably all of the CSS coding things we have learned. I think learning how to code different words or backgrounds and boxes.

Define 'User Experience'. What does it mean and how does it relate to web design? Explain yourself.

User Experience means to enhance the user satisfaction by making things easier to use and being able to find different things a lot easier. It relates to web design because being able to make a website that is easy for other people to use will make that website a lot better. Like being able to keep the navigation bar stay on the screen when you are scrolling down to look at other stuff.

A resume website is about the person who is trying to get a job. They explain what school they went to and what they do. They tell a little bit about themselves like their history and profile. They also tell them a little bit about their skill set. They explain why they want the job and what their purpose is for the job. They tell them what type of education they have had and where they attend/attended school. They talk about their world experiences and social interests.

What are you doing for Spring Break?

This spring break I am leaving for California tomorrow and staying there with my grandparents until next Tuesday. After I get back from California I will be going to baseball practice on Thursday and then after that I have the rest of spring break off.

On Friday I had baseball practice right after school and then went out for dinner when I was done. On Saturday we had our first real baseball practice and after that I had two rec basketball game and we won both of them. On Sunday we played in the semi-finals and won that game so we went to the Championship which we lost in.

I look up to Owen Olsen. I look up to him because he is a lot taller than me. Owen is also good at sports.

If you were the Principal for a week at BVHS, what would that look like? What changes would you make? Why?

If i were the Principle at BVHS for a week i would make the passing periods like 15 minutes long and late start would be everyday for a week. I would also make it so if you were late for class the teachers would not care at all. You would be able to use your phones whenever you wanted to in class.

On Friday I went to the Buckets For Bacon basketball game at the school. On Saturday I went to Dicks Sporting Goods and got new cleats for baseball. On Sunday i had a Rec basketball game at OTMS that we won.

On Friday I went to get my haircut and then went to McDonalds. After McDonalds I went to Taco Bell with my Asian friend. On Saturday I went to BWW and then after that I went to my friends house. On Sunday I had a Rec Basketball game that we won.

The perfect set of class's would be class's that actually prepare you for real life. You would be able to take whatever class's you want to. All of the class's would be very different from what they are now just because you wouldn't be taking the same types of class's.

The importance of color on websites are for the design of the website so it looks all fancy and stuff.
A color scheme is important to have a certain theme on your website not just a whole bunch of random colors.

I would love to give you less work in class if it meant you were going to focus harder on the work. Do you think you would get more out of it? Would that work for you? Why or why not?

It means to me that if you focus more on one thing the more you will get done because you are focused on one certain thing. This could apply to my life because if I would focus more on things that I don't do to well at I would be better at whatever I was focused on. This could apply to my school work if I would just focus in my class's. I would get more done if I focused in all of my class's. If we got less work in class I feel like people would be more focused on that certain thing to get it done.

The coolest thing I have learned to do so far in web design is probably all the css stuff that we have done the last couple of weeks. I still want to learn how to make a cool web site.

This weekend I was sick until Sunday so I didn't do anything on Friday besides lay in my bed and sleep. On Saturday I laid in my bed some more and watched movies. On Sunday I had a Rec basketball game that we won. Sunday night I watched to Super Bowl and ate wings and ribs.

What I find the most confusing about web design and HTML is all the different codes you need to learn. It would be easier if you didn't have to code the whole website so it would be easier.

So far I really like BVHS. I am not involved in any clubs or activities right now but in the spring I will be trying out for baseball. I am a Freshman right now. My favorite class is HELA because it is fun and easy. My favorite teacher is Mrs.Weed because she is nice and fun. I am looking forward to baseball season.

I think this class is pretty easy right now. I have learned how to post a picture using HTML and I have also learned a lot more from codecademy. I want to learn some more websites and designing them.

What I think principal John Tapene said was correct. I think that teenagers do need to get out and do more stuff than sit at home all day not doing anything. They need to learn that not everything will get handed to them just for asking for it. More teens need to find jobs or they can just mow peoples yards. And kids need to study your lessons to get better grades.
